School administrators are continually challenged to develop new strategies that help to safeguard their districts' assets by preventing unwanted and unwarranted school board legal liability claims. As part of meeting those challenges, school district risk managers are responsible for the district's liability and property insurance needs, workers' compensation issues, ADA accommodations for employees, unemployment issues, and safety programs. FSBIT staff stay attuned to the needs of member districts and provide numerous services designed to help districts minimize risk, prevent loss and maximize chronically-limited resources to benefit students.
FSBIT's Risk Management team offers a coordinated effort to protect member districts' assets, both human and financial, from all types of risk. This effort begins with helping member school districts identify and analyze the risks to which the district may be exposed.
